Yep, It's Monday

*Warning - I will be discussing my breast pump. If you have no interest in reading about my breast pump then please stop reading now. Thank you.*

*grin*

Woke up late. Actually, if you count all of the times Mr. James woke up in the middle of the night I was actually up EARLY...a LOT. Unfortunately, I *officially* woke up (for the last time) late. Apparently my alarm requires continuous electricity and if said alarm clock does not receive said electricity then it goes all blinky and then doesn't go off when instructed. Good to know.

(AHEM, note to self: Insert backup battery into alarm clock to prevent blinky-ness in the future so that when we get a storm we don't oversleep.)

Anyway, woke up late and dropped my DH off at work, where I discovered that I left my breast pump at home. *insert VERY large sigh here*

Drove back home from DH's work (which is 30 minutes on a good day and more when it's raining cats and dogs like today), got the required pump and drove to work (which is 30 minutes on a good day and more when it's raining cats and dogs like today). :P

I was very frustrated with myself. Upon the advice of my boss, who I had to call TWICE (once to say I was running late and AGAIN to say I was running even more late), I immersed myself with self-affirming thoughts all the way to work so that the day could start over on a better note. (The self-affirming thoughts came AFTER I beat my forehead repeatedly into the steering wheel of the car but we won't get into that. Note to self, do forehead beating into something that doesn't go BEEP next time. People tend to stare.)

Ok, having gotten all of that off of my grateful chest (grateful of course because I have the pump at work now), I fully intend to have a good rest-of-the-day. When I got to work, the first thing I saw were TREATS so that should not be a problem.

Woot! :D

P.S. I love Dr. Pepper. Just thought I'd share that.

Funny. Yes, you definitely need your breast pump. Did you explain that to your boss?

Yes I did and she understood. She's a nurse. :D

Everyone knows Dr. Pepper is a superior drink, but if you were desperate, would you drink one of Wal-Mart's Dr. Thunder's? :P

Hey Jo! Your morning sounds all too familiar! There's just too much to remember to bring with you all the time, you know? I ended up borrowing a pump from a friend and leaving it at work so I knew it would always be there. And medela makes these great wipes that you can use to clean the parts without water...

have a better day!
