Anyway, here's the email:
"Jamie is still ill so I will not be in. Tried to leave a voicemail but phones were still down. Took him to doctor and also talked to [my boss]; she is aware I would most likely not be in today.
He has Hand Foot and Mouth Disease and must stay out of daycare until fever is gone as it is highly contagious. This is totally super fun, since also he's teething. Yay me!
Fun little snippet regarding HFMD in case you are interested. I've been up all night with a cranky pants and am feeling deceptively efficient right now. I'm sure it won't last. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hand-foot-and-mouth-disease/DS00599
Wish me luck!"
P.S. I also broke a toe last night doing the old 'slam it into the coffee table' trick. You know...the table that is basically in the same spot it's been in forever? Yep, that's the one. Anyway, I assume it's broken as it hurts like the dickens and is pretty colors now.
For the record...I'm not whining. I'm too tired and too amused by my life to be whining. LOL. I would, however, like it if someone would come over and hook up a caffeine IV drip for me. Kthanksbye.
P.P.S Please note my use of a semi-colon in the above post. I iz awesome. Rawr.
Edit: My husband iz awesomer. He's the go-to guy from the minute he wakes to go to work and again the minute he walks back in the door from working a full day. He is the one who gets up wit me when the darling little monster needs his magic medicine, feeds him solids because Heaven FORBID he really accept them from me and has most likely changed more poopies than I have. He does so much more than this stuff...I'm just too tired to make a list and Jamie is permanently attached right now. Thanks Daddy, love you!

Wow, that sounds like a rough night. Hope the little one gets better soon. (your toe too)
I like how you write, if that's any consolation for your sleepiness and sickness. Hope things get better darling. Oh. And I'm impressed with Brad. Go Brad.
Yikes! What a night! I hope things are better. HFMD is NOT fun! I've been there. Thanks for the added note about hubby, so often I want to blog about what makes me so mad about mine and then I read what you wrote, and think, "what a great way to honor your man!"
Hope you have a great day and stay cool on this HOT MN day!
I recently started using a semi-colon myself from time to time; don't know how I ever lived without it. Wishing you and yours all the best!
